The Soyuz Chair

Bodycopy:

A collaboration of living room physics with the astronaut Jean-Pierre Haigneré who lifted off twice from earth in the Soyuz rocket, the Soyuz Chair designed by Design Interactions graduate Nelly Ben Hayoun, is a living-room chair that reproduces the three stages of the rocket launch as close to the original one as possible: the inclination of the chair, the frequencies of the vibration, the sound, etc.

The comfortable living room chair won't fly you into space but it will replicate the experience of a liftoff.

The chair comes with a remote for you to either choose the full 10 minute lift-off experience with three stages of intensity, or just the last 240 seconds - the most extreme stage of the journey.
