Nobu Nakaguchi:
"With technology, objects can be given ‘life’ by appearing receptive and responsive to their users. By mapping anthropomorphic behaviors onto inanimate objects, we can create ‘beings’ perceived as alive. We take pleasure and comfort in identifying human qualities to develop a more meaningful connection. Based on this concept, my aim is to create sculptures which project unique personalities of people through movement, materiality, and sound. The following five traits are a beginning of this exploration and inspired by people who have been personally influential. I intend the viewer to be reminded of someone that may have similar characteristics."
