hive is an interactive light installation floating above water in the park behind Frankfurt’s opera by students from School of Design Mainz we gladly supported for the light festival Luminale 2010.
A swarm of 1200 LED lights with tailor made aluminium reflector are suspended above a lake in the centre of Frankfurt and react to visitors movements with video controlled lights and sound. Swarm behaviour and interaction has been designed with the software processing and vvvv.
