The Tropism Well by UK-based Poietic Studio is a wonderful new take on the water fountain. Once it has seen you, the well begins to lean automatically as water is pumped into the stem, pouring enough water to fill a glass.

Inspired by the aesthetics of maths and physics, New York-based artistand composer Tristan Perich works with simple forms and complex systems. At a solo exhibition at LEAP, Perich will be exhibiting a body of work that include the sound sculptures Interval Studies and Machine Drawings – the result of a long-standing interest in code and systems.

Benjamin Grosser has created a performing "Interactive Robotic Painting Machine" which uses artificial intelligence to paint its own body of work and to make its own decisions. While doing so, it listens to its environment and considers what it hears as input into the painting process. In the absence of someone or something else making sound in its presence, the machine, like many artists, listens to itself.
